Expeditions

Learning of students at St. Joseph’s Mission School is not restricted to the four walls of the classroom. Various outdoor experiences are designed for students regularly within the projects and themes they work on & are directly linked to the grade level learning goals. In contrast to ‘school trips’, these expeditions provide real hands-on opportunities to learn about people, places, and cultures, how things work and develop a systemic understanding of different habitats and systems. These expeditions help children to conquer fears and also to build necessary life skills.

“To understand is to discover, or reconstruct by discovery, and such conditions must be complied with if in the future individuals are to be formed who are capable of production and creativity and not simply repetition”.
